JUSTIN BIEBER CONFESSES WHY HE CANCELLED TOUR AS HE TAKES BREAK TO RECOVER
Justin Bieber is taking a break to recover as the star recently opened up about Ramsay Hunt Syndrome while updating fans about the cancelled tour.
A couple of days ago Justin was all set to perform in Canada but the singer had to cancel a couple of hours before the concert was going to take place.
Following the announcement, fans were quick to express their disappointment as some had travelled a long way to attend the concert. After days of keeping silent, the singer finally shed light on what went wrong.
WHY DID JUSTIN BIEBER CANCEL THE TOUR?
Justin revealed he had cancelled the tour because he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. In a video that the singer posted on his Instagram, the Sorry singer apologized to his fans for cancelling the show at the last minute.
He showed fans how his face had been affected because of the illness. Justin noted that one side of his face had been completely paralysed due to which he was unable to move his ears, nose, or even smile
WHAT IS RAMSAY HUNT SYNDROME?
In the video, Justin explained that Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is caused when a virus attacks the nerves of your inner ear. The recovery time, according to Mount Sinai, can be weeks or months depending on how bad the symptoms are or how quickly the illness was diagnosed.
Justin revealed he had been doing a couple of facial exercises to make sure that he is able to move his face. However, the singer admitted he was unsure how long the recovery could take. Nonetheless, he assured fans that he would be back soon.
JUSTIN BIEBER ALSO HAS LYME DISEASE
While the two are not related, in the past, Justin has opened up about being diagnosed with Lyme disease.
The singer had opened up about it in January 2020 in an Instagram post, as per BBC. In it, the singer called it a “serious case of chronic mono which affected my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health”.
However, Justin had stated he was taking the right treatment to make sure he would be completely fine. Since then, Justin has been taking necessary treatment for Lyme disease.
